That's right, Wellington Footlights turned one year old this past week (May 30th - put it on your calendar) and we celebrated with a typical Footlights knees-up (feet-up?). Cake was made and consumed, wine was imbibed and charades against humanity was played. Ed A was kind enough to lend his house for the proceedings and Footlights provided the spread (with some additional baking from Laura and Abi). We also invented a new Footlights party game where we each had to perform a snippet from a Footlights song that was picked at random, non-performing members and friends of Footlights included! Everyone looked great. Here are some more photos to provide evidence of how hot we are. Cassandra forgot to take bets on who would sing the descant in Happy Birthday. (It was Michael, as would have been predicted).
The Wellington Footlights Society are an incredible bunch of guys and gals with which to make beautiful music. May this be the first of a great many boozy birthday parties...
